As a full-service provider, the BUHLMANN Group can supply its customers with high-quality boiler tubes which are able to withstand high temperatures and pressures, in all materials used in power generation plants.
BUHLMANN PowerGen brand is conceived exclusively for the BUHLMANN Group and is coordinated to comply with current steam boiler engineering regulations, such as VGB 109R, EN 12952 and EN 13480, in fulfilment of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). We offer our customers seamless alloy and non-alloy boiler pipes under the BUHLMANN PowerGen brand name.
Our PowerGen boiler tubes are subjected to extensive material testing procedures according to the latest VGB 109R specifications. The results of these tests, which include tensile- and notched bar testing as well as ultrasonic transverse flaw testing testify to BUHLMANN PowerGen’s ability to completely fulfil the most important demands placed on tubes in the construction of new power stations.
With the addition of BUHLMANN PowerGen to the stock range, the BUHLMANN Group demonstrates its outstanding competence as a service and supply partner for power plant construction.

Comprehensive project management, from planning to logistics, is an integral part of our customer-oriented value-added chain. In particular, we coordinate the affected partners on the clients’ and manufacturer’s side when it comes to technical support. Our business areas are divided into the following sectors: planning; project development, construction supervision and project implementation; production and construction.
Upon request, the BUHLMANN Group can take over the complete management of turnkey projects: from planning, to the complete laying of pipeline systems in chemical and power plant construction to further support. Our highly-qualified teams take care of budget calculation, material supply and final documentation. Special Materials – Nickel-Alloys, Titanium, Zirconium and more
The Competence Centre Special Materials bundles BUHLMANN’s experience in the field of special materials. The premium trading house reacted to the increasing demand as early as 2014 and since then offers its customers all kinds of special materials, such as duplex, titanium alloys and nickel-based materials. Whether in seamless, welded and forged tubes or in connecting parts, flanges and machined special parts – BUHLMANN is broadly positioned. In addition, the team members are available to the company’s sales departments for technical support within the scope of individual projects and looks after various suppliers’ key accounts.
Engineering – Engineering Services from a Single Source
In addition to pipework planning and calculation, planning and development also involves jobs such as designing and producing pressure vessels and storage containers, supervising construction, managing construction and carrying out schedule planning for construction sites. Project implementation involves material procurement as well as the global delivery and assembly of complete pipework systems and plant parts. Internal turbine piping is also produced and assembled.
Qualified teams made up of experienced engineers, head fitters, welders, pipe fitters and metalworkers – together with a carefully-implemented quality management system – ensure that process sequences run smoothly. The BUHLMANN Group has all the workshop facilities, machines and tools required for professional production which is in line with current international standards.
Mechanical – Pipes, Fittings and Flanges for Constructing Machines and Plants
In addition to its traditional range of products, the BUHLMANN Group offers a wide selection of pipes for the machine and plant construction sector. Customers include both machine and plant manufacturers and construction and agricultural machine manufacturers, but can also be found in the tool manufacturing and apparatus construction sectors. What’s more, we also offer solutions for customers from the construction industry, particularly those specialising in bridges, cranes, anchorages and buildings.
To do so, we offer quality solutions for seamless and welded hollow profiles (round and square), precision steel pipes, hydraulic tubes and pre-tubes for cylinder construction and thick-walled pipes, for example as a substitute for round steel, in the materials listed below. Process – Perfect Pipes, Tubes, Fittings and Flanges for Chemical Plant Construction
BUHLMANN’s high-quality ChemTec brand range is characterised by its resistance to corrosion from aggressive substances such as acids and its suitability for use under increased temperatures and pressures. The welded austenitic stainless steel pipes and tubes pursuant to DIN EN 10217-7, welded carbon steel pipes pursuant to DIN EN 10217-2 and flanges pursuant to DIN EN 1092-1 reliably fulfil all technical and chemical standards of the chemical industry. This range of pipes and tubes is able to accommodate many of our customers’ specific requirements from a single source.
BUHLMANN ChemTec was specially developed for chemical plant construction and is produced exclusively for the BUHLMANN Group. The system complies with the requirements of EN 13480 in fulfilment of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
Our range not only fulfils current European standards but also satisfies previous national standards and regulations. This means that BUHLMANN ChemTec pipes and tubes are not only suitable for use in new constructions but also for effecting problem-free repairs to existing industrial chemical facilities.
